I'm a small-town girl with Big Apple dreams. I quickly learned, though, that NYC isn't quite as I seemed. I've been assigned a government affairs beat for the Times. Problem is, I've quickly learned how corrupt our government is here ( this is a blog, I share my personal feelings, OK?). My cat is my best friend, yes I know I'm lame. I'm just trying to break my first big story, which is NOT going so well.
